Complementing fill systems using COLANAR’s FSP peristaltic pump, the product bag monitoring module ensures a smooth process flow. The independent module features a stainless steel bag mount and a strain gauge for monitoring the surge bag weight. When the weight drops below the preset low point the STB signals a feed pump, which will re-fill the product surge bag until a preset upper weight limit has been reached. This procedure ensures that the fill volume in the surge bag remains at a certain fill level range. This range is adjustable by the operator. The STB is compatible with PSK single-use tubing kits and can be equipped with 1, 3, 5 or 10 liter bags.
